2:30PM - 5:30PM
Come along to Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve, just 30 minutes from central Brisbane, for a creative and engaging photography workshop. Together, we’ll explore some of my favourite lighting techniques, discover the art of creative direction, and learn how to capture timeless, beautiful imagery.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded photographers, ask questions, and grow your fashion or portrait portfolio in a welcoming and supportive setting.
Tailored for beginner to intermediate photographers, as well as semi-professionals, this workshop focuses on deepening your understanding of natural light while helping you grow your portrait and fashion portfolio with a model.
Are you ready to take your natural light skills to the next level? If so, this workshop is for you!
Key takeaways
Learn how to capture a diverse range of photographs and evoke various moods all within a single location.
Discover how to handle harsh sun and soft golden hour lighting and mastering techniques for both back-lit and front-lit photographs, including creative effects such as lens flares and framing.
My top strategies for discovering ideal locations and choosing the perfect scenery to match your client's brief or mood board and discover the art of finding beauty in seemingly "ugly" locations and mastering the skill of working creatively within constraints.
Discover effective techniques for coordinating diverse colours and patterns with the background, while also managing your in-camera settings to ensure your subject remains the focal point of the photograph.
Practice the art of directing your model and maintaining continuous communication throughout the shoot, ensuring their comfort on set and a clear understanding of your creative vision.
Learn how to refine a RAW image from the start by adjusting your in-camera settings to capture the perfect shot. This reduces the need for heavy post-processing and touch-ups.
If you're excited to explore the world of natural light, improving your lighting skills and to discover the best methods for preparing seamless photoshoots, this is the course for you!

You don’t need any high-end gear. As long as you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera that can be set to manual mode and a lens with a focal length between 24-85mm, you're good to go. I will be working alongside the group and guide you individually.

Having hosted workshops for over 150 photographers, I can say the atmosphere is always incredible! Participants are always so welcoming and kind. Most attendees are fairly new to photography or have limited experience, just like you! I keep each event to a maximum of 12 people to create a relaxed and personalised environment where everyone feels seen and heard.
